Marcelo Silva is a Senior Process Design Specialist at MicroHarvest since October 2022, with previous experience as a Process Design Specialist at Corbion from January 2019 to October 2022. Prior to that, Marcelo completed a PhD in Bioprocess Engineering at Delft University of Technology from 2014 to 2018, focusing on downstream process development for bio-based production of polyphenols. Marcelo's research background includes investigating anaerobic digestion of heterotrophic microalgae at LNEG and conducting thermodynamical studies at Instituto Superior Técnico, where a Master of Science in Biological Engineering was obtained. Marcelo's educational journey also includes an MSc thesis completed at KU Leuven through the Erasmus Programme.
