Kannan Balasundaram

Kannan Balasundaram is an experienced professional in the field of material science and engineering, currently serving as a CMP Process Manager at Micron Technology since January 2016, after previously holding the position of Scientific Engineer. Prior roles include Technology Manager, R&D Team Lead, and Research Scientist at Sinmat Inc from October 2010 to December 2015, as well as a Graduate Student in Dr. Rajiv Singh's Group at the University of Florida between March 2009 and October 2010, focusing on the formulation of core/shell silica nanoparticles for CMP applications. Kannan's early career also includes experience as an Application Engineer at Emerson Process Management from November 2005 to July 2008, and a Graduate Engineer Trainee at Essar in mid-2005. Kannan holds a Master of Science in Material Science & Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from PSG College of Technology.
