Kiran G. is an accomplished Director and Distinguished AI Research Engineer at Micron Technology, providing technical leadership and developing innovative AI systems since October 2022. As an ACM Distinguished Speaker from April 2022 to April 2025, Kiran is engaged in promoting computing topics across various audiences. Kiran has also served as an Industry Member on the IEEE CASS Board of Governors, advocating for industry contributions and leading initiatives on standards. Previously, Kiran held key roles at Western Digital, Velodyne Lidar, Violin Memory, and NVIDIA, focusing on machine learning, computer vision, and advanced algorithms. Kiran's educational background includes a PhD in Computer Engineering from Texas A&M University.
