Seong-Dong Kim

Seong-Dong Kim is an accomplished Research and Development Engineer at Micron Technology, specializing in advanced DRAM and CMOS technologies since July 2020. Prior to this role, Seong-Dong held significant positions at SK hynix as a Research Fellow and Project Manager from April 2016 to December 2019, focusing on TCAD for various memory and logic technologies. From September 2003 to March 2016, Seong-Dong was a Semiconductor Device and TCAD Engineer at IBM, engaging in pathfinding TCAD for advanced CMOS devices and contributing to pivotal technology developments during a two-year assignment at Samsung Electronics. Earlier experience includes a Research Engineer and Lecturer position at UCLA and a Senior Device Engineer role at SK hynix, complemented by a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University obtained between 1992 and 1996.
