Tamara Schmitz

Tamara Schmitz is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in product security, technical marketing, and academia. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Product Security at Micron Technology since October 2015, Tamara leads an international team in conducting penetration testing and evaluating product architecture to address vulnerabilities efficiently. Previous roles include serving on the Board of Directors for BirchBark Foundation, directing technical marketing for power and memory at Xilinx, and managing applications for light sensors at Intersil, where business grew significantly under Tamara's leadership. In academia, Tamara held positions as an Assistant Professor at San Jose State University and a Lecturer at Stanford University, contributing to the education of aspiring engineers. Tamara holds a PhD in Radio Frequency Circuit Design, an MBA in Business Analytics, and multiple degrees in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University and Ohio University.
