James Jakes

James Jakes has extensive work experience in various managerial positions. James began their career at Caraustar/Newark Paperwork in 1994, where they served as a Production Manager. During their time there, they managed multiple plants, implemented a cross-training program, and achieved significant cost savings through efficiency improvements.

In 2015, James joined Smith & Nephew Orthopaedics as a Production Supervisor. James oversaw production resources, ensured adherence to safety and quality standards, and developed training plans. James also played a key role in making hiring and termination decisions.

James then moved on to Memphis Contract Packaging in 2022, where they worked as a Business Unit Manager. In this role, they supervised production staff, coordinated functional area timing, and ensured compliance with operating procedures and company policies.

Currently, James is employed at MicroPort Orthopedics as a Value Stream Manager. James'sresponsibilities include leading day-to-day activities within the value stream, ensuring quality measures are met, and collaborating with peers to propose risk mitigation plans.
