Aydin Babakhani

Aydin Babakhani has a wealth of work experience. Aydin began their career in 2008 as a Postdoctoral Scholar at the California Institute of Technology. In 2010, they moved to the IBM T.J. Watson Research Center as a Research Scientist. In 2011, they were hired as an Assistant Professor, Louis Owen Junior Chair Assistant Professor, and Associate Professor with Tenure at Rice University. Aydin also worked as the Director of the Rice Integrated Systems and Circuits Laboratory. In 2016, they Co-Founded and became a Board Member of MicroSilicon Inc. In 2017, they joined the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as a Member of the DARPA Microsystems Exploratory Council. Aydin also worked as an Associate Professor and Director of the UCLA Henry Samueli School of Engineering and Applied Science Integrated Sensors Laboratory. In 2018, they Co-Founded and became a Board Member of Maxwell Biomedical Inc. In 2021, they Co-Founded and became a Board Member of Nervonik, Inc. and also served as the Director of the UCLA Integrated Sensors Laboratory.

Aydin Babakhani received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Sharif University of Technology between 1999 and 2003. Aydin then went on to pursue a PhD in Integrated Circuits and Antennas - Analog, RF,mm-Wave from Caltech, which they completed in 2008.
