Dr. Virginie Amar

Dr. Virginie Amar is the Chief Security Advisor at Microsoft, where they provide strategic cybersecurity guidance to Chief Information Security Officers of CAC 40 companies. With over 25 years of experience in cybersecurity, they previously led the Go-To-Cloud program at Amadeus, overseeing the transition of over 700 applications to Azure. Dr. Amar held various leadership roles in R&D at Amadeus, including Senior Manager and Associate Director, where they focused on digital identity platforms and cybersecurity strategies. Educated at Université (UNSA), they earned a Ph.D. in distributed computing and hold multiple patents in the field. Passionate about advocating for women in cybersecurity and tech, Dr. Amar remains committed to enhancing security practices across the industry.
