Jorge Alturas is a seasoned security expert with extensive experience in high-level roles within international organizations. Currently serving as the UN Chief Security Advisor for Yemen, Jorge previously held the position of UN Chief Security Advisor for Pakistan, overseeing security matters for the United Nations Development System Security (UNDSS) Office. Jorge's experience also includes working with the European Commission as the Security Expert for EU Electoral Missions in Colombia, where responsibilities involved leading security efforts for electoral missions. Prior to that, Jorge served as a Security Expert with the World Food Programme during the Cabo Delgado crisis. Jorge Alturas holds an MBA from Fundação Getulio Vargas and a postgraduate specialization in International Relations from Universidade Brasília.
