Ernie Fernandez

Ernie Fernandez serves as the Vice President for State and Local Government at Microsoft since October 2021, focusing on customer adaptation of digital solutions and business growth. Prior to this role, Ernie held the position of Vice President for Information Technology and Chief Information Officer at the University of Miami, leading the Information Technology organization and supporting a diverse community of faculty, staff, and students. Ernie's extensive experience at IBM spanned various leadership roles, including General Manager of the US Public Sector, where a $5 billion business was managed, and responsibility for creating a global Quote-to-Cash organization. Ernie holds an MBA in Finance from Xavier University and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Kentucky.
