Ilya Matiach

Ilya Matiach is currently a Principal Data Scientist at Microsoft, where they have contributed their expertise in machine learning and computer vision algorithms since 2022. They previously worked at Microsoft as a Software Engineer II from 2014 to 2018 and held various roles in software development and testing from 2013. Ilya began their career as a part-time Network and System Administrator at Topnotch Resort and Spa while in high school, and later gained programming experience at the Center for Computational Analysis of Social and Organizational Systems from 2009 to 2010. Ilya holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with an additional major in Cognitive Science from Carnegie Mellon University, completed in 2010.
