Rachel Azafrani

Rachel Azafrani is a Principal Technical Program Manager specializing in Responsible AI at Microsoft, where they lead AI governance programs and drive cross-functional initiatives. They previously held key roles, including Director of Responsible AI at Microsoft and Co-Chair of the IEEE Research Group on Issues of AI and Autonomy for Defense Systems. With experience in public policy strategy for AI and IoT security, Azafrani has contributed to influential regulatory frameworks and the development of critical security policies for Xbox. They are currently pursuing a BSFS at Georgetown University and an MSc at the University of Oxford.
