Sears Schulz is a cybersecurity enthusiast and a former US Air Force Captain transitioning to the private sector, available for work in early 2026 and open to relocating anywhere in the United States. With over six years of hands-on experience in application security, software development, and threat hunting, Sears has demonstrated proven leadership as a Lead Detection Engineer and Security Researcher, directing a team to counter emerging cyber threats. They hold a Master of Science in Information Security from Carnegie Mellon University, where they achieved a 4.0 GPA, and have excelled in various national cybersecurity competitions. Sears is currently a fellow at Microsoft, focusing on AI and Cloud Security as part of a military service transition program.
