Control Engineer at Microsure

Christiaan van Ommeren has had a varied career, beginning in 2009 as a Waiter for Mise en Place. In 2010, they took on the role of Senior Exhibitions at the University of Twente. From 2011 to 2013, they were a Tutor for Maths, Physics, and Chemistry at Twente Academy. In 2013, they became a Tutor for Social Skills at the Technische Universität München. In 2015, they were a Technical Support for The MathWorks and a Masters Thesis Student for MBDA. In 2016, they were a Trainee - PLM Consultant for CIMPA PLM Services. In 2021, they became a Master Thesis Student for the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Finally, in 2022, they became a Control Engineer for Microsure, where they are currently working together with the control and software team to model, program, control, and test a robotic system that performs microsurgery on a patient.

Christiaan van Ommeren has a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Applied Physics from the University of Twente, which they obtained between 2009 and 2013. Christiaan then went on to receive a Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering from the Technical University of Munich between 2013 and 2016. Christiaan is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Robotics, Cognition, Intelligence at the Technical University of Munich, which they are expected to complete in 2022. Additionally, Christiaan has obtained certifications from AXELOS Global Best Practice and IPMA: International Project Management Association.
