Nagesh Uppuluri

SVP, Global Clinical & Medical Affairs at MicroVention

Nagesh Uppuluri is the SVP of Global Clinical & Medical Affairs at MicroVention. Prior to joining MicroVention, Nagesh spent four years at Medtronic as the Sr. Director of Global Professional Affairs and Clinical Education. In this role, Nagesh was responsible for building and turnaround the PACE organization for large scale clinical evidence dissemination, managing physician relationships and physician led clinical research, optimizing society relationships, overseeing regulatory compliance, and accelerating product technical skills of Neuro Interventionalists.

During their time at Medtronic, Nagesh orchestrated global integration and scale up of the organization, introduced multi-modal, pragmatic education and learning for HCPs using multiple platforms, and chaired the Investigator Sponsored Research committee. Nagesh also led the design and implementation of the first Neurovascular Translational Skills training program which led to a significant increase in product adoption and decrease in customer complaints through post market surveillance.

Nagesh has continued their interactions with FDA, CFDA, ANVISA on clinical data, training requirements, device behavior and safety profiles in their current role at MicroVention. Nagesh has also designed and implemented a comprehensive physician engagement plan for KOL inclusion on Scientific Advisory boards, product review boards, clinical studies, and clinical education.

Nagesh Uppuluri has an MBA from the Texas McCombs School of Business, a post masters certification in clinical research management from Duke University, and a PhD in biochemistry from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center.
