Tony Schmitt

Tony specializes in tenant and landlord representation throughout the State of Michigan.

Since 1996, Tony has been directly involved in all aspects of the commercial real estate industry including leasing, development, consulting, investment sales and financing. Tony began his career with The Lutz Companies. After 4 years he moved to LaKrtiz-Weber & Company where he rose to Vice President with a focus on representing retailers and landlords. In 2011, Tony joined forces with other prominent brokers in the Metro Detroit area as a founder and principal of Mid-America Real Estate-Michigan, Inc.

Tony is a graduate of The University of Michigan, beginning his real estate career immediately upon graduation. Tony is an active member of ICSC, including serving as Michigan State Chair, an original member of the National Advisory Group for ICSC’s Next Generation Program and leading various committees over the years. Tony continues an active role in Mid-America’s alliance with ChainLinks Retail Advisors, a national network of best-in-class retail real estate companies throughout the United States, serving as President/Chairman of the Board from 2016-2019 as well as a Board member since 2013.
