Gwenn Fried has extensive experience in horticultural therapy, currently serving as Vice President on the Board of Directors for the Mid-Atlantic Horticultural Therapy Network since October 2018, where the focus is on promoting the profession. Gwenn has been an instructor for the Therapeutic Garden Design Certificate Program at the Chicago Botanic Garden since February 2006 and has contributed as a Therapeutic Horticulture Specialist for FIND Aid for the Aged, Inc. since November 2000. Additionally, Gwenn has held the position of Manager of Horticultural Therapy Services at NYU Langone Medical Center since October 1996, overseeing management, staff development, and program design and assessment in the department.

A professional organization that enthusiastically provides members with educational opportunities, HT program site visits, networking with colleagues to exchange ideas and materials, training in business skills and strategies, timely job postings and engaging service projects. Through membership in MAHTN, we share friendship and resources. Together, we work to elevate our professional and personal development and promote the practice of horticultural therapy in the region.
