Richard Kessler has extensive experience in political leadership and commentary, currently serving as Chairperson of the Sagadahoc County Democratic Party since January 2021. Kessler has been a writer since April 2014, focusing on political and social issues while also researching a non-fiction history of a WWII unit. Additional roles include Mid Coast-Parkview Health Corporator since December 2018, Chair of the Board of Directors at Internews since November 2017, and a member of the Rules Committee for the Maine Democratic Party since June 2017. Notably, Kessler held key positions such as Staff Director for the Senate Committee on Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs and the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Foreign Affairs.
