Sagert Sheets

Sagert Sheets has extensive experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), currently serving as GIS Manager at the Mid-Region Council of Governments since September 2018, after holding roles as GIS Coordinator and GIS Analyst. Prior experience includes positions at the UNM Department of Geography & Environmental Studies as a Staff Research Assistant for GIS, Adjunct Instructor for an introductory course on maps and geospatial information, and Teaching Assistant/Lab Instructor for an Introduction to GIS course. Additionally, Sagert contributed as a GIS Data Creator and Collector for the ParkServe Project at The Trust for Public Land in 2016. Sagert holds a Master of Science in Geographic Information Science and Cartography from The University of New Mexico and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of St. Thomas.
