Richard Melan is a seasoned mechanical engineer with a robust career spanning over three decades. Currently serving as both Mechanical Engineer and Director of Operations at Mid-South Engineering since September 2020, Richard has previously held mechanical engineering roles at Allnorth Consultants Limited, Axxent Engineering, Stolberg Engineering Ltd., and Anthony-Seaman Ltd. Richard's expertise encompasses mining and metals, with a notable contribution to the Harper Creek feasibility study for Yellowhead Mining Inc., as well as significant experience in the sawmill and pellet mill sectors, focusing on equipment selection and design. Richard holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of British Columbia, earned between 1983 and 1988.
