Since 1990, Dr. Mark Ford has served MidAmerica in a variety of ways and used his background and experience to help the institution launch new programs and grow revenue. From 1990 to 1997, he taught traditional Accounting and Business students. Then, he chaired the Business Division for ten years before becoming Associate Academic Vice President where he guided the institution through regional accreditation and had responsibility for a broad array of curriculum and instruction, academic support service, institutional effectiveness, and legal compliance functions. Today, he is a member of the senior administrative team and leads strategic expansion of professional, graduate, and online programs and operations at MNU. He also serves as the Dean of the School of Professional and Graduate Studies.
"MNU has played a vital role in my life," Dr. Ford says. "It is the place where as a student I gained academic confidence, where my faith in God matured and deepened, and where I made enduring friendships. I am honored to give back to MNU and its mission to transform lives." He and his wife, Christine (Morrow) '89, live in Original Town Olathe and are the parents of two teenage children: Rachel and Olivia.
