Christy Harger

Christy Harger has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Christy started their career in various financial institutions from 1993 to 1997. Christy then moved on to work as an Assistant Vice President at Citizens National Bank, where they assisted in establishing and managing a new branch. Following this, they worked at Prudential Bank & Trust as an Account Manager, underwriting consumer and commercial loans and performing collateral analysis. At Wells Fargo Financial, Christy held multiple roles including Analyst III, Credit Analyst II, and Loan Servicing Manager. Here, they developed and implemented testing for Mortgage Servicing, underwrote commercial lease applications, and managed a team responsible for funding leases. For the past 13 years, Christy has been with MidAmerican Energy Company, starting as a Senior Counterparty Risk Analyst and then progressing to the role of Director. In their current role, they manage teams responsible for accounting systems support and analytics, as well as risk management, including credit and operational risk monitoring. Christy is also a member of the Risk Oversight Committee, overseeing risk management for both regulated and unregulated units.

Christy Harger attended Iowa State University from 1989 to 1993, where they earned a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a focus on Finance. Christy obtained their BBA from the Ivy College of Business at Iowa State University. In terms of additional certifications, Christy Harger has acquired a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification from the American Association for Lean Six Sigma Certification in 2019. Christy also holds a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the same institution, although the exact year of achievement is unknown.
