Damian Komosa

Damian Komosa is an experienced engineer specializing in system protection, currently serving as Engineer II at MidAmerican Energy Company since June 2019. In this role, Damian utilizes various protocols including DNP, SEL, Modbus, and L&G 8979 to enhance SCADA capabilities across multiple substations and has successfully managed RTU replacement projects from design to programming. Previously, as Engineer I at the Information Trust Institute, Damian contributed to the construction of a DARPA-funded testbed environment. Early career experience includes roles at Amazon, U.S. Security Associates, and Securitas, where skills in customer service and leadership were developed. Damian holds a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
