Zach Murphy

Zach Murphy is a skilled professional with extensive experience in the energy sector, currently serving as Project Manager and Plant Instructor in the Generation Training department at MidAmerican Energy Company since July 2022. As an Owner of Chasing Nirvana, LLC since May 2021, Zach operates a camper van rental service, leveraging personal travel experiences to offer unique experiences to customers. Zach's previous roles include Critical Facility Engineer at Microsoft and JLL, as well as Shift Lead and Production Operator at Flint Hills Resources, where responsibilities included monitoring automated processes and leading safety initiatives. Zach holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Energy Systems Technology from Thomas Edison State University and an Associate of Applied Science in Energy Generation Operations from Southeast Community College.
