Richard Abbenhuis

Richard Abbenhuis is an experienced and BIG registered nurse with over 15 years in acute psychiatry, having worked in both open and closed psychiatric wards. Currently serving as Ambassadeur MIDDIN Koers 2028 and Coördinerend begeleider at Middin since September 2020, Richard has also been active as a lobbyist for Rotterdam Central Park and an advisor for BTV Rotterdam Airport from March 2016 to January 2023. Prior experience includes providing personal guidance to individuals with mild intellectual disabilities at ASVZ and previous roles in psychiatric nursing at notable hospitals from 1992 to 2005. Richard’s educational background includes training at the IEP Instituut voor Eclectische Psychologie and ICM opleidingen & trainingen in 2023, among other qualifications.
