Mohammad Hamdan

Head Of Department-architecture Engineering

Mohammad Hamdan currently serves as the Head of the Department of Architecture Engineering at Middle East University (MEU) since September 2025. Prior to this role, Mohammad held positions as an Assistant Professor and PhD Researcher at the University of Nottingham from October 2021 to July 2025, focusing on buildings energy and retrofit, urban heat island effects, and environmental analysis. Additional experience includes serving as a Lecturer at MEU and a Teacher Assistant at Al Ahliyya Amman University, alongside engineering experience as a Site Engineer with Cowater International. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Architecture and a Master's degree in Spatial Planning, both from the University of Nottingham and the German Jordanian University, respectively, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Al al-Bayt University.
