Barbara McCall

Barbara McCall, MPH, MCHES has a diverse work experience, spanning various roles and industries. Barbara is currently working at Middlebury College, where they hold the position of Associate Vice President for Student Health and Well-being. Barbara has also served as the Executive Director and Associate Executive Director of the Center for Health and Wellness at Middlebury College. Prior to Middlebury College, they worked at the Vermont Department of Health as a Facilitator for the Vermont College Coalition for Changing Substance Misuse Culture. Additionally, Barbara has experience as a Birth and Postpartum Doula at Birth Day Doula Services and as the Coordinator of Campus Wellness Education at Castleton State College. Barbara has also worked as a Health Education Assistant at Mount Holyoke College, an Integrated Curriculum and Reading Specialist at Hasbro, and a Teaching Assistant for Public Health at the University of Massachusetts. Barbara has also worked as a Pharmacy Technician at CVS Pharmacy and as a Graduate Intern at the Connecticut River Valley Farm Workers' Healthcare Program. Lastly, they have served as the Co-Director of Operations, Facilitator, and Program Assistant at Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership. With their extensive experience in healthcare and education, Barbara brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to their current role at Middlebury College.

Barbara McCall holds a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree in Community Health Education from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Barbara also has a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Biological Sciences from Mount Holyoke College. In addition to their degrees, Barbara has obtained various certifications throughout their career, including being a Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES) certified by the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Barbara has also completed several professional certificates and training programs in healthcare management, cultural competency, LGBT health, suicide prevention, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and other areas. Barbara is committed to enhancing their knowledge and skills in order to excel in their field.
