Javier Merino is currently a Remote Extern for the National Geographic Society and The Nature Conservancy, focusing on prototyping a location-based app for water conservation in El Salvador while conducting a landscape analysis to identify conservation gaps. As a Climate Action Fellow at Middlebury College, Javier is developing a 360-degree documentary on climate change impacts in El Salvador. Javier holds leadership roles as Co President of Middlebury Alternative Breaks and as a Team Leader in the Middlebury Consulting Group, where strategic consulting services are provided to various organizations. Additional experiences include roles at Howard Hughes Medical Institute, V&A Waterfront, and PwC Non-Profit Consulting, highlighting a commitment to social impact and environmental economics. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Economics from Middlebury College and a High School Diploma from Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong, complemented by international study experiences.
