Dan Kushner has extensive experience in the education field. Dan is currently the Director of Mathematics & Science at Middletown Township Public Schools since August 2021. Prior to this, they worked as the Supervisor of Science, Technology, and Engineering at North Plainfield School District from October 2016 to August 2021.
Before that, they served as the District Instructional Leader for Science at Perth Amboy School District from June 2014 to October 2016. In this role, they implemented professional development and coaching for instructional staff and worked with building and district leadership to improve student performance.
Dan's teaching experience includes being a Biology Teacher and Teacher at Pearl River School District from September 2006 to June 2014. Additionally, they have served as the Boys Cross Country Assistant Coach at Pearl River High School from 2009 to 2013 and as the Lacrosse Coach from 2006 to 2008. Dan is well-versed in the Danielson Framework for Teaching, Common Core State Standards, and the Next Generation Science Standards.
Dan Kushner earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Biology from Marist College from 2001 to 2005. Dan then went on to complete a Master of Science in Education (MS Ed.) degree in Educational Leadership at Iona University from 2007 to 2009.
