James Collier

James Collier is a seasoned Programme Architect currently leading the Identity Modernisation Programme for the Ministry of Social Development at Middleware New Zealand since December 2021. Prior experience includes a Director System Settings and Design role at the Department of Internal Affairs (NZ), where James played a pivotal part in the implementation of the Digital Public Service Strategy and led a Covid-19 response team. Previously, James served as Government Chief Architect, overseeing government enterprise architecture and ICT standards. With a robust background at the NZ Ministry of Justice as Chief Architect and numerous consulting and management roles, including positions at Fonterra, Telecom New Zealand, and others, James's expertise spans enterprise architecture, information security, and strategic technology integration. James holds an MSc and a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury.
