Thomas Calloway

Thomas Calloway is an experienced leader in R&D with extensive expertise in motion tracking and augmented reality technologies. Currently serving as R&D Leadership at Midjourney since August 2024, Thomas previously held the position of Vice President of Surgical Navigation at Globus Medical, where significant advancements were made in surgical technology, including the development of a novel Surgical XR headset. Prior roles include Director of Engineering at Leap Motion, where Thomas managed a new office for augmented reality research, and Advanced Projects Director at Thales, recognized as a "Thales Expert" in motion tracking. Thomas holds a PhD, MS, and BS in Computer and Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
