Bruce Tolley

Member (and Former Chair), Measure AA Bond Oversight Committee at Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District

Bruce Tolley is a seasoned consultant and marketing executive with extensive experience in technology and product marketing strategies. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at Heritage Oaks Group since March 2016, Bruce collaborates closely with founders and management on projects related to product launch and market justification. In addition to this role, Bruce has been active in community service as a member and former Chair of the Measure AA Bond Oversight Committee for Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District and as Chair and Member of the Measure C Citizens' Bond Oversight Committee for Foothill-De Anza Community College District since January 2017. Previous positions include Vice President of Technical, Solutions, & Partner Marketing at Solarflare Communications, where Bruce drove marketing for diverse customer segments, and roles at Cisco Systems, including Vice President of Marketing and Sr. Product Line Manager, with a focus on data networking and industry standards. Bruce's academic credentials include a PhD from Stanford University and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley.

Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District

Founded in 1972 by voter initiative, the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District preserves and manages a regional greenbelt system in the San Francisco Bay Area, that includes parts of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties and a small portion of Santa Cruz county. It is one of California’s largest urban regional open space districts with nearly 65,000 acres, 26 preserves and more than 225 miles of trails. Midpen protects over 70 rare native species and critical habitats like waterways and redwood forests. Over 2 million visits are made annually to its regional preserves. Of Midpen's 26 preserves, 24 are open to the public free of charge, 365 days a year from dawn until one-half hour after sunset. Midpen's mission is to acquire and preserve a regional greenbelt of open space and agricultural land of regional significance in perpetuity, protect and restore the natural environment and provide opportunities for ecologically-sensitive public enjoyment and education. ------------------------------------------- Midpen is a single-purpose, independent special district.
