Dr. Shawn E. Bailey Ed.d.

Dr. Shawn E. Bailey, Ed.D. has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Starting in 1994, Dr. Bailey worked as an On-Air Personality and Writer for KIDS BLOCK at KYLE 28 TV. From 1996 to 2013, they served in various roles at Leander ISD, including Paraprofessional, Substitute Teacher, and Volunteer, where they implemented classroom management techniques and aligned curriculum instruction to state standards. From 2008 to 2013, Dr. Bailey worked as a Substitute Teacher at Round Rock ISD. In 2012, they served as a Substitute Teacher at Austin Independent School District and also volunteered on the Casey Elementary Curriculum Committee. From 2013 to 2014, Dr. Bailey worked as a Teacher at Cherry Creek Schools, where they were the Lead Preschool Teacher and implemented play-based learning curriculum. From 2014 to 2017, they taught at Aurora Public Schools, focusing on English Language Development and language development instruction. From 2017 to 2019, Dr. Bailey worked as an ESL Resource Teacher at Denver Public Schools, where they integrated content, provided English Language Development, and served as the ELA Team Lead. In 2019, they joined Waco Independent School District as an Education Specialist, focusing on student growth in Reading and Writing. Dr. Bailey currently holds the position of Program Facilitator at The Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative starting from 2016. In 2020, they also became an Education Specialist at Midway ISD.

Dr. Shawn E. Bailey, Ed.D. holds a Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Teacher Leadership from Concordia University-Portland. Dr. Shawn E. also earned a Master of Education (MEd) in Curriculum and Instruction from Concordia University Texas. For their undergraduate studies, Dr. Bailey attended Texas State University, where they received a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Interdisciplinary Studies - Early Childhood-6 / English Second Language (ESL). Prior to their college education, they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Communications from Blinn College.

In addition to their academic qualifications, Dr. Bailey has obtained various certifications. Dr. Shawn E. holds a Restricted Radiotelephone Operator Permit/Radio Regulations from the Federal Communications Commission, which they obtained in January 1995. Dr. Shawn E. is also a certified Professional Teacher by the Texas Education Agency, having obtained the certification in August 2019. Furthermore, they hold Professional Teacher certifications from the Colorado Department of Education (obtained in June 2016) and the South Dakota Department of Education (obtained in May 2013).
