Melissa Young

Melissa Young has had a diverse and successful career in various roles within the food service and dairy industries. Melissa most recently worked at Midwest Dairy, where they held the positions of Vice President of Business Unit Operations and Vice President of Health and Wellness, responsible for developing and managing programs aligned with operational goals. Prior to that, they were the Director of Health and Wellness and Director of Fuel Up To Play 60. Before their time at Midwest Dairy, Melissa worked at Sodexo as a General Manager, overseeing the food service program for Pioneer Hi Bred International and Marsh McClellan. Their responsibilities included financial budgets, customer satisfaction, and quality control. Additionally, they managed vending operations and served as the District Training Coordinator. Melissa began their career at Swanson Corporation as a Food Service Director, where they gained valuable experience.

Melissa Young attended Ellsworth Community College from 1985 to 1987, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Business Administration and Management, General. Following this, from 1987 to 1990, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Institutional Management at Iowa State University.
