Michael Backer, DMD, is an accomplished Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon with extensive experience since July 2016 at Midwest Oral Maxillofacial and Implant Surgery. Prior to this role, Michael completed a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at The University of Tennessee Health Science Center from June 2012 to June 2016. Michael earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in Dentistry from Midwestern University in Arizona, completing the program in 2012. Additionally, Michael holds a Master of Science (M.S.) in Medical Physics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, which was obtained in 2007, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Sciences from Purdue University, awarded in 2006.
