Kong Their has extensive experience in investment management and risk oversight. Kong currently serves as the Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at MidWestOne Bank, where they lead portfolio management, investment research, and strategy formulation for trust and wealth management clients. Prior to that, Kong was the Vice President and US Head of Fixed Income Investment Risk at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, where they introduced investment risk philosophy and metrics into corporate processes and functions. Kong also served as the Senior Director of Investments at the University of Wisconsin Foundation, overseeing the design and implementation of investment strategy, and as a Senior Investment Manager at Allianz, managing a multi-sector institutional portfolio. Kong has additional experience as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Metropolitan State University, an Investment Consultant at Ibbotson Associates, and a Senior Investment Risk Analyst at Ullico, Inc. Kong began their career as a Portfolio Associate at American Express Financial Advisors and an Associate in Institutional Brokerage at R.J. Steichen & Company.

Kong successfully completed their undergraduate studies in 1997. After a gap in their education, Kong Their enrolled at DePaul University in 2004 and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Finance by 2005.
