Dmitry Sokolov is a seasoned professional in the field of biology and agriculture, currently serving as a Research Assistant at MIGAL Galilee Research Institute since October 2022. Dmitry has also operated a private plant nursery specializing in hazelnuts, pears, and blackberries since April 2007, and serves as the Head and Co-owner of a plant tissue culture laboratory since November 2020. Previous roles include working as an Agronomist at South Agro Nursery from April 2018 to February 2022, a Research Assistant at the Volcani Institute and BetterSeeds Ltd, focusing on cannabis-related projects, and a Technician at University of Haifa in the laboratory of medicinal mushrooms from 1999 to 2001. Dmitry holds a Master's degree in Biology from Lomonosov Moscow State University and has furthered education at Colorado State University and Dartmouth College.
