Dorit Avni has extensive experience in the field of immunology and cancer research. Dorit currently serves as the Head of immune modules in inflammation and malignancy laboratory at MIGAL Galilee Research Institute since 2018. In addition, they are a Lecturer at Tel-Hai College and a Member of the European Algae Biomass Association. Dorit also represents Israel in various organizations such as the EU Commission and the NNEdPro Global Institute for Food, Nutrition and Health. In the past, Dorit has worked as a Scientific and Pre-clinical Development Consultant at ALLOSTERIX PHARMACEUTICALS, LLC and as a Scientific Consultant at ImmunoBar Ltd. Dorit Avni's education history begins in 1994 when they enrolled at Tel Aviv University. Dorit obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Biological Sciences, General in 1997. After that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from 1998 to 2000 at the same university. In 2004, Dorit Avni continued their studies at Tel Aviv University and completed their Ph.D in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2010. Dorit then decided to further their education and obtained a Postgraduate Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University from 2012 to 2016. Dorit Avni returned to Tel Aviv University in 2011 to pursue another postgraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, but the end year for this program is not provided.
