James Polo

James Polo currently serves as an Executive Advisor at Mightier, focusing on clinical model validation, product strategy, and market positioning. Previously, as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Elevance Health, James oversaw behavioral health integration for over 100 million covered lives. At Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon, James functioned as Executive Medical Director, collaborating with teams to deliver high-performing health products while promoting health equity and clinical innovation as a national thought leader. James also held the position of Executive Medical Director for Behavioral Health at Cambia Health Solutions, where a comprehensive behavioral health strategy was implemented across four states. Earlier experience includes serving as Chief Medical Officer at the Western State Hospital, managing clinical operations for a large state facility. James holds an MD from Uniformed Services University and a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Psychology from the United States Military Academy at West Point.
