Jade Avelis

Jade Avelis is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in research project management and business operations. Currently serving as the Director of Business Operations at Mighty Picnic since December 2022, Jade has also held various project management roles within the organization. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Project Manager at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where responsibilities encompassed managing educational projects related to prostate cancer and promoting physical activity among older adults. In addition, Jade contributed to cancer prevention research as a Senior Research Coordinator at the same institution. Academic credentials include a PhD in Sociology and Gender Studies and a Master's Degree in the same fields from the University of Notre Dame, where Jade also excelled as a graduate student instructor. An undergraduate degree in Psychology was obtained from Indiana Wesleyan University.
