Ana Álvarez has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Ana is currently the Founder & CEO of Migrapreneur, a migrant and woman-led company focused on bridging the gap for migrants in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. Ana is also the Chair of the Board & Owner of Bureaucrazy, where they oversee the organization's operations.

In the past, Ana has worked as a TV Guest Expert for Deutsche Welle and as the Principal Owner of Migration Hub, where they focused on social innovation and addressing migrants' livelihoods. Ana has also served as the Chair of the Board for United Action, a non-profit organization supporting women newcomers.

Prior to these roles, Ana held the positions of CEO & Founder at Migration Hub Network, where they organized numerous events and supported the creation of new businesses run by migrants. Earlier in their career, Ana worked as a Development Coordinator and Communication Coordinator at United World College Costa Rica, where they developed growth strategies, managed crisis situations, and established an engaging Alumni Program. Ana also worked as an Account Executive at Comunicación Corporativa Ketchum Central America.

Before entering the private sector, Ana gained experience as a Press Officer at the Ministry of Finance, where they managed media inquiries, press conferences, and national campaigns.

Ana Álvarez has a Bachelor's degree in Communication, Journalism, and Related Programs from Universidad Latina de Costa Rica, which they obtained from 2002 to 2005. Ana later pursued a Licentiate degree in Mass Communication/Media Studies from the same university, completing it from 2005 to 2007. Ana then went on to obtain a Master's degree in Human Rights & Peace Education from Universidad Nacional, where they studied from 2010 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, Ana has also obtained several certifications, including "Leading in the Digital Age" from LEAD Academy gGmbH in 2017, and "Crisis Communication Fundamentals" and "SEO Tools Fundamentals" from lynda.com in 2015.
