Stefan Hegyi

Stefan Hegyi currently serves as Legal Counsel for Data Privacy and Digital at Migros-Genossenschafts-Bund and is the Deputy Data Protection Officer, a position held since April 2019. Additionally, Stefan is a Member of the Social Welfare Authority for the Municipality of Horgen since July 2022. Previously, Stefan was a Research Associate at ZHAW School of Management and Law, focusing on legal research, lecturing in data protection, and managing research projects from July 2016 to March 2019. Earlier experiences include serving as a Legal Assistant at LAUX LAWYERS from March 2012 to April 2016, specializing in technology-related legal matters, and working as Head of Team Administration at Kornhaus Verwaltungs AG from August 2006 to January 2009. Educational qualifications include a Master’s Degree in IT & Intellectual Property Law from Université de Neuchâtel, a Visiting International Student experience at Columbia Law School, and an ERASMUS exchange program at Université Paris Dauphine - PSL, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Business Law from the Zurich University of Applied Sciences - ZHAW.
