Matic Vecko

Matic Vecko has a diverse work experience, starting from 2009 as a Managing Editor at Premiera Magazine. In 2011, they worked as a Writer at Vecer Daily and as a Regional Production Analyst at Film New Europe. In 2012, they became a Chief Scheduling Manager at PRO PLUS, d.o.o., and also served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the University of Alberta. In 2015, they worked as a Designated Floor Supervisor at MEC™. Since 2016, Matic has been associated with Mike Wiegele Helicopter Skiing, where they worked as a Ski Technician and then progressed to positions including Executive Assistant to the Chairman, General Manager, and Resort Management Consultant. Currently, they hold the role of Chief Sustainability Officer at the same company.

Matic Vecko obtained a Ph.D. in English from the University of Ljubljana from 2009 to 2016. They also served as a Research Fellow at the University of Alberta in 2012. Prior to that, Matic completed a B.A. in Comparative Literature and English at the University of Ljubljana. They have further certifications in Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Introduction to Environmental Law and Policy, Sustainable Business Strategy, Financial Management, Advanced Wilderness First Aid, and Mountain Bike Instructor and Guide I from various reputable institutions.
