Benjamin Gamarra serves as the Philadelphia Office Director at Mil Mujeres Legal Services since April 2014, focusing on the implementation and improvement of office policies while managing staff and operations. Additionally, since April 2010, Benjamin Gamarra has acted as a Tour Guide for the City of Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, educating diverse audiences about community development and the history of murals in both English and Spanish. Previously, Benjamin Gamarra worked as the Interpretation and Translations Project Manager at the Nationalities Service Center from January 2012 to June 2013, where efforts were made to enhance department policies and reporting procedures. Educational qualifications include an Associate Degree in Computer Science Programming from Community College of Philadelphia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidad Nacional Federico Villarreal.

The organization provides comprehensive immigration and family legal services to low-income members of the Spanish-speaking community in the Washington, DC area. Mil Mujeres is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was founded to address the growing need for bilingual legal services to serve the DC area’s Latino community with an emphasis in helping survivors of domestic violence.
