Mohit Anand is an AI Researcher at Mila - Quebec Artificial Intelligence Institute, focusing on unsupervised multi-modal representation learning for images and point clouds of forests since July 2024. Concurrently, Mohit has been a Doctoral Student at UFZ since November 2020, working on identifying conditional drivers of forest loss and learning about weather prototypes related to forest biomass loss. Previous roles include Machine Learning Scientist at Worldsphere.ai and positions at ECMWF where benchmarks of Diffusion Models were conducted on large datasets. Mohit has also contributed to summer programs at the European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts and served as a Teaching Assistant at ETH Zürich. Mohit holds a PhD in Machine Learning from Technische Universität Dresden, an MSc in Environmental Engineering from ETH Zürich, and a B.Tech in Environmental Engineering Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad.
