Damilola Odetola

Damilola Odetola, Ph.D., is an experienced financial restructuring associate at Milbank LLP since April 2019. Prior to this role, Damilola served as a doctoral researcher in financial restructuring and insolvency at the University of Kent from 2015 to 2018, where responsibilities included teaching law and convening a course in foreign investment law. Damilola gained exposure to various law firms through work experience placements at PwC, Slaughter and May, and Hogan Lovells, and contributed to research on trade, investments, and public-private partnerships as an associate research fellow at the Institute for Oil, Gas, Energy, Environment and Sustainable Development from 2014 to 2016. Damilola also held the position of associate editor at the Oxford University Commonwealth Law Journal and practiced as counsel at Olaniwun Ajayi LP between 2012 and 2013. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) with First Class honours from the University of Ibadan, a Bachelor of Civil Law (BCL) from the University of Oxford, and a Barrister at Law (BL) with First Class honours from the Nigerian law school in Lagos.
