David Skuodas has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and environmental science. David began their career as a Staff Engineer at Kaw Valley Engineering in September 2001, where they worked until September 2002. From September 2002 to June 2004, David worked as an Engineer II at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. Following this, they joined Olsson Associates in June 2004 as a Project Engineer, where they remained until May 2010. At Olsson Associates, they contributed to various project management roles. In May 2010, David joined Mile High Flood District as a Project Manager, overseeing design, construction, and maintenance of projects until January 2018. David then took on the role of Watershed Manager until March 2022. Currently, David serves as the Design, Construction, and Maintenance Director at Mile High Flood District.
David Skuodas attended the University of Florida from 1996 to 2000, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Civil Engineering. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained various certifications, including the LEED Accredited Professional certification from the UNITED STATES GREEN BUILDING COUNCIL in 2009, the Professional Engineer certification from the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies in 2006, and the Certified Floodplain Manager certification from the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. (ASFPM) in 2010. David also completed the Colorado Water Leaders Program offered by Water Education Colorado in 2015 and became a Competent Communicator through Toastmasters International in 2013.
