Becky Gold, PhD, currently serves as a Program Facilitator for Theatre at Miles Nadal JCC, focusing on accessible theatre arts programming for young adults with developmental disabilities and autism. Gold has held various roles in the theatre and education sectors, including Accessibility Coordinator for the Canadian Association for Theatre Research, where responsibilities involved leading an accessibility committee for a conference. Academic experience includes serving as Course Director at York University, where a fourth-year seminar on Contemporary Theatre was developed, and working as a Research Assistant on the project Ecstatic Freedom. Gold's background encompasses positions with prominent organizations such as the Arts Club Theatre Company and Gateway Theatre BC, alongside teaching assistance and academic editing roles at the University of British Columbia. Gold holds a PhD in Theatre and Performance Studies from York University, an MA in Theatre Studies from the University of British Columbia, and a BA in Drama from Queen's University.
