Alexa Deaton

Alexa Deaton is currently the Controller at Milestone Business Solutions. Alexa has previously worked as the Associate Commissioner & Chief Financial Officer at the Indiana Commission for Higher Education from June 2015 to November 2021. In this role, they were responsible for developing and presenting biennial budget recommendations, collecting and analyzing capital project requests, reviewing and signing grants, contracts, memoranda of understanding, and hiring requests, overseeing the agency’s annual internal budget, performing high-level oversight of internal financial processes, overseeing all HR processes for the agency, and working with the Chief Technology Officer to manage IT projects.

Alexa Deaton's educational career consists of a Bachelor of Arts from Purdue University in Pre-Law, Law & Society and a Master of Science from Indiana University in Accounting.
