Anita Holz

Anita Holz joined Milestone as VP, Head of Medical Affairs in August 2022. She brings over 14 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, in clinical development and medical affairs.

Prior to joining Milestone, Anita was the Therapeutic Area Head of CardioRenalMetabolism Clinical Development and Medical Affairs at Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals. During her tenure at Boehringer Ingelheim, Anita worked in close collaboration with her business partners to successfully launch several products across many indications, including Pradaxa, Praxbind, and Jardiance. Her experience includes life cycle drug management from the early stages of development through loss of exclusivity. Areas of focus included hypertension, stroke, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, myocardial infarction, chronic kidney disease, Type 2 diabetes, obesity, and NASH. Before entering the pharmaceutical industry, Anita worked as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner focused on Cardiovascular medicine.

Anita received her Master of Science in Nursing from Wilmington University and a BSN from Messiah College. In addition, she received her Certification in Medicines Development from Kings College in London.
